We did it, and for the record the 87 miles is only to the carpark, we made it 90 miles which means we did an amazing 25 miles today, all shattered, but huge well done to the team, pictures to follow tomorrow when I ve had a sleep:-))
We’re still here, the last leg, a bit longer than we hoped, but we are doing Chinor to Ivanhoe Beacon…hope we find it in the dark, still can’t load my pictures. You will just have to take me word that the blister count has gone up, don’t forget to sponsor us if you haven’t already.
Today we’re heading from South Stoke near Streatly to Princes Risborough, we made a slow start, mostly due to a night of loud thunder storms and torrential rain. On the plus side this did make the ground alot softer, much appreciated by our now day 3 foot sore party. The cooler day made for much more comfortable walking, but due to our late start and more hills than you could shake a walking stick at, think court hill 5 times up and down, our mileage dropped to 2.1 mph and we only did 20 miles :-)) and got to Chinnor.
19 miles over with an average speed of 2.3 miles per hour.
Blister Count 9
Slight technical hitch with our blog but we are all still here. Day 2 saw us stop at Court Hill for out first stop then press on to the A34. A quick lunch stop then we pressed on to Streatly. It was a long hot day, but the views are amazing and the company stayed upbeat despite been a bit foot sore by now.
Day three somewhere in Oxfordshire, our 4 intrepid walkers needed food and and foot care supplies. After a dash to the nearest medical and food suppliers a meet up at church yard was arranged and saw the brave walkers resupplied.
And there under starters orders….
And their off…
